Sossi Pilau

Ingredients

  • Sossi tasty pieces 180g
  • 500g rice- selected and washed
  • 1 large onion – chopped
  • 1 small garlic – crushed and chopped
  • 1 small ginger – freshly sliced
  • 100g tomato paste
  • 1 tea sp dhana jeera
  • 1 tea sp pilau masala
  • 1 tea sp garam masala
  • 50ml oil

Instructions

  • Put a cooking pot on a stove and light it.
  • Add to the pot, oil and onions to cook.
  • Add garlic and ginger and allow to cook until golden brown.
  • Lower heat and add dhana jeera, pilau masala, garam masala and mix it thoroughly. Then add tomato paste.
  • Mix and increase the heat.
  • Add Sossi tasty pieces and mix.
  • Season with salt to taste
  • Add enough stock, bring to boil.
  • Add rice, bring to boil, lower and cover the rice and allow to steam until ready.
  • Ready to eat. Serve with kachumbari on the side.
