Sossi Dry fry

Soak these sossi soya chunks for around 10 minutes before use. To soak, place in a small dish and add seasonings, soy sauce, before covering with boiling water. The soya chunks will expand and will then be ready to fry in oil or another fat as if they were normal meat.

Sossi Dry fry

Soak these sossi soya chunks for around 10 minutes before use. To soak, place in a small dish and add seasonings, soy sauce, before covering with boiling water. The soya chunks will expand and will then be ready to fry in oil or another fat as if they were normal meat.

INGREDIENTS

  • - Sossi 90g
  • - 3 medium onions – chopped
  • - 2 cloves garlic – crushed
  • - 1 small ginger – crushed
  • - 1 small hoho – chopped
  • - 1 bunch dhania – chopped
  • - 4 tablespoons cooking oil
  • METHOD

    1. Add the garlic, ginger, hoho, dhania & ¼ of the onion to the Sossi chunks
    2. Soak the Sossi chunks mixture in a medium size cup (200 ml) of cold water until the water has been absorbed by the chunks (10 mins)
    3. In a sufuria, add the chopped onion and fry gently until tender (2 mins)
    4. Add the Sossi chunks and fry while stirring (6 mins)
    5. Recommendations: serve with ugali, rice, bread, chapati, pasta, potatoes or noodles.
